We recently finished the book The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale. We really enjoyed this simple tale of a girl getting to know herself.The main character of this book, Ani, is a crowned princess of a small kingdom. She discovers at a young age that she can talk to birds and other animals. Later, she is sent to a neighboring kingdom to marry their prince to secure good relations between the two countries. In this journey and thereafter, she comes to know the inner princess insider of herself.
Quick vote: It was a cute read and very fast. Perfect for our tweenager doggie friends and all those young at heart.
